Skin needling (micro-needling or collagen induction therapy) is a minimally – invasive non-surgical procedure with very little downtime. A device is used to puncture the skin and create micro channels which triggers the body’s natural healing response. This results in a boost in collagen production which leads to stronger, clearer, healthy, and firmer skin.
Professional skin needling is one of the safest skin treatment procedures. This procedure is well tolerated by patients and takes a few minutes to an hour to complete (depending on the treatment area). Skin needling also improves the effectiveness of skin care products as it allows the active ingredients to be transported to the deepest skin layers.

Pre-Treatment Advice
- Stop using any chemical exfoliants, retinols, alcohol-based products, or active cosmeceuticals on the skin 3 days before treatment
- Avoid excess sun exposure before treatment
- Avoid waxing 2 days before treatment on the treatment area
Follow up
The number of needling procedures depends on the individual skin
A minimum of six weeks is recommended between two treatments as it takes that long for new natural collagen to form
→ 3-4 treatments needed for moderate acne scars
→ 5 treatments may be needed for scars from thermal burns and stretch marks
→ 1-2 refresher skin needling treatments are recommended every year
For optimum results, a course of treatments with the option of adding on LED light therapy is recommended to accelerate healing while leaving the skin illuminated
